a donor has proven fertility and has been a previous donor, we will extend the age
limit.

How have you pre-screened your donor candidates?
We believe we are the leading company with regard to egg donation screening and
standing behind our donors. Approximately 20 percent of all donor applicants will
meet our strict application criteria. The selected donor candidates participate
in phone and personal interviews and educated on the obligations and expectations
required of them during the egg donation process. Information stated in the donor
candidate’s profile will be verified to ensure accuracy. Background checks are performed
on each donor candidate. Additionally, all our accepted donor candidates have passed
an initial psychological screening and meet all current FDA donor and member clinic
guidelines.

What happens if a donor cancels the cycle or does not pass her medical evaluation?
Because our application and screening process is the most stringent in the industry,
our donor cancellation and medical fall-out rates are extremely low. On the rare
occasion a donor decides to cancel her cycle or does not meet all medical requirements,
Egg Donor Select will work with the prospective parents to minimize their out of
pocket expenses relating to the cycle. Egg Donor Select® is proud to have the best
refund and rematch policies in the industry. The specifics are determined by the
point in the cycle at which the cycle is cancelled. Please see our
Fees and Policies for more specific information.

Will the donor try to find my child in the future?
In the legal contracts, signed by both recipient and donor, the donor clearly resigns
all rights to the eggs donated and any embryos or children that result from the
egg donation cycle.

Can my child contact the donor once the child has reached the age of 18?
In the legal contracts, signed by both recipient and donor, the recipients agree
to refrain from any future direct contact with their donor. In order to preserve
the privacy of all parties, Egg Donor Select does not release indentifying information
of either party.

What does the donor know about me?
Because most donors prefer to remain anonymous and assume the recipients share that
same preference, questions pertaining to the recipient couple are rarely asked.
Egg Donor Select will obtain permission from the recipient couple prior to answering
any questions asked by their donor. The most common question asked by donors relates
to the couple’s ability to financially provide for a family.

How many eggs are generally retrieved?
On average, 10 to 25 eggs are retrieved.

What are the success rates of children conceived through egg donation?
Success rates for a donor egg procedure are generally higher than for an IVF procedure,
primarily due to the age of the donor. A fertility clinic with a 50 percent or higher
success rate for fresh donor egg cycles is considered acceptable by most industry
professionals.

How long does a donor cycle take?
Once a donor is chosen, the cycle is most often completed within a three-month time
frame.
How often may a donor donate?
Egg Donor Select follows the guidelines set for by the American Society for Reproductive
Medicine (ASRM), which limits egg donors to six cycles for any individual donor.

What if the child has health problems, may we contact the donor in the future?
Yes, through Egg Donor Select. To ensure successful future third-party contact with
your donor, we suggest you consult the services of a donor registry.

What fees are associated with egg donation?
With Egg Donor Select, there are no hidden fees. We have a program fee, which includes
an insurance policy should your donor experience any cycle-related medical costs.
Our donor fees are among the best in the industry. Our refund policy is not matched
or surpassed by any other program in the industry as we believe if our donor is
not accepted for your cycle, you should not suffer financially. We do have a special
rate for recipients of our member clinics. Our unmatched refund program is available
to all of our valued friends.
